Two members of Future Comm, Aphra Kerr (NUIM) and Cristiano Storni (UL) spoke on a joint panel entitled 'Problematising Design' as part of a two day workshop at the National University of Ireland Maynooth & Intel Ireland Campus on Wednesday, 11 November & Thursday, 12 November 2009.
The workshop included presentations on ongoing Intel projects including 'Ageing, Design and Anthropology in Practice’ and 'Technology Research for Independent Living'. For more check out Intel's work in the health area.
A related initiative to build links between social scientists and technology companies is a series of talks at the science gallery in Dublin entitled 'Innovation Interface'. The next speaker in the Innovation Interface series of talks is Future Comm member Liam Bannon (UL) who will speak at 7.30pm on the 8th of December.
