Oct 2010 NUIM Maynooth - Workshop Day and Plenary Meeting

8th HEA FutureComm Workshop Day and Plenary Meeting

The First HEA FutureComm PhD Workshop Day in conjuction with the 8th plennary meeting of the HEA PRTLI Cycle 4 programme FutureComm was conducted in NUIM Maynooth-HI premises. On 5th October 2010 HEA PRTLI Future Comms Project members meet in Maynooth city, This time the meeting was hosted in Hamilton Institute at North Campus at National University of Ireland Maynooth . The 1st HEA PRTLI FutureComms PhD Workshop Day was an excellent excersice and great experience for students interactions and feedback from the attendees. HEA PRTLI PhD Workshop day is planned for mid next year.

pHealth 2010 (26-28 May 2010, Berlin, Germany)

pHealth 2010 - FutureComs Project was present in the 7th international workshop on Wearable Micro and Nanosystems for Personalised Health. pHealth conference has emerged as the leading international meeting on wearable micro and nano technologies for personalized medicine.

Starting in 2004, pHealth has attracted scientists for various technologies, medical doctors, policy makers from the healthcare industry, hospital administration and allied professionals. This year categorized/named itself as conference pHealth 2010 was held in Berlin, Germany, 26-28 May 2010.

The First Project Review and the 7th plennary meeting of the HEA PRTLI Cycle 4 programme FutureComm. On 3rd february 2010 HEA PRTLI Future Comms Project members meet in Dublin City, This time the meeting was hosted in the Digital Hub at Dublin City and coordinated by Waterford Institute of technology. The HEA PRTLI FutureComm Project review (Mock review) was an excellent excersice forward future HEA PRTLI reviews comming in near future.

HEA FutureComms Project Coordinate Activities with EU-FIA

HEA FutureComm Project Particpates in FIA Stockholm 2009 

Future Communications project is coordinating some activities alligned with the Future Internet Assembly Activity. Future internet Socio-Economics strand group (FISE) Dr. Martin Serrano gave an invited talk at the 4th Future Internet Assembly meeting in Kista Stockholm, Sweden. This activity is catapulting and projecting up HEA FutureComm Project into the Future Internet framework through Security, Privacy and Trust as well as Future Internet Socio-Economic aspects. The Future Internet continues to gather momentum.

Future Communications project is following nearly the Future Internet Assembly Activity. Dr. Martin Serrano acting as front end between future Communications project and Future Internet Assembly is pushing up FutureComm Project activity into the Future Internet framework through Security, Privacy and Trust as well as Future Internet Socio-Economic Clusters. Fifth Future Internet Assembly (FIA). In April/May 2010 with the support of the Spanish EU Presidency will hold the fifth Future Internet Assembly (FIA) in Valencia establishing FIA as a fixpoint within the Future Internet initiative.

Second Future Internet Assembly (FIA), was held 9th-10th December in Madrid, Spain, brought together around 300 people to discuss Europe's efforts towards a future networked society. http://www.fi-madrid.eu

Bled Declarartion for the Future Internet Assembly (FIA). The conference on The Future of the Internet - Perspectives emerging from R&D in Europe was held in Bled, Slovenia from 31 March - 2 April 2008. leaders representing Research & Innovation in Europe (Industry and Academia representatives) have signed the Bled Declaration.
